About Signal & Noise
What we do
Signal & Noise is the editorial voice of Skaldera, the platform where artists create album pages that do their music justice. We publish data-driven analysis, practical tutorials, artist spotlights, and industry commentary at the intersection of music and technology.
What we cover
Our content spans six categories:
- The Ledger -- Data-driven analysis, platform statistics, and trend reports
- Dispatch -- Platform updates, new features, and announcements
- The Rabbit Hole -- Tutorials, how-to guides, and practical walkthroughs
- Looking Glass -- Artist spotlights, case studies, and interviews
- Signal -- Opinion, essays, industry commentary, and building in public
- Deep Cuts -- Deep dives, retrospectives, and evergreen reference material
Why this exists
The music industry has no shortage of blogs. What it lacks is a publication focused on the visual, experiential side of music presentation -- how artists communicate with fans through album pages, cover art, track ordering, and the digital spaces they control. That is the gap Signal & Noise fills.
How we write
Every article is human-authored and editorially reviewed. We do not publish AI-generated content. Our writing aims for precision, clarity, and genuine value -- no filler, no buzzwords, no content-for-content's-sake. If we do not have something worth saying, we do not publish.
